Therefore, it becomes more and more important for exporting companies to react immediately and actively to all input concerning expedition matters. Efficiency and effectiveness should not concern just the productive side of companies, but also export formalities play an essential role. Well-prepared employees with specific know-how allow companies to be more competitive globally. This course offers hands-on know-how for the day-to-day business of companies involved in international trade.
This course is structured in two modules: “Shipping goods abroad: basic” will be held on May 8th and “Shipping goods abroad: advanced” will be held on May 15th.
The two modules can be taken separately.

Employees of exporting companies and international trade (shipping sector, sales, procurement, finance, projects, order processing, customs administration, etc.).
Course contents
- Important clarifications before shipping / understanding key documents (for example: export- / import-license, tax-exemption, letter of credit, certificate of origin, EORI-no., etc.)
- Requirements for invoices in international trade
- Modes of transport: truck, railroad, barge, air- / ocean freight, container & intermodal transportation; calculation of chargeable weights and freight costs; options and regulations in packaging
